Patient Experience

Being admitted to hospital can be a worrying and unsettling time. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with a member of staff in the ward or department who will do their best to answer your questions and reassure you.

Feedback is really important and useful to us – it can tell us where we are working well and where improvements can be made. There are lots of ways you can share your experience with us including completing the Friends and Family Test – we send this out by text message and cards are available on all wards and departments at our hospitals. We value your comments and feedback.

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

The team offers impartial help, advice or support relating to any aspect of your care. We aim to help resolve issues and concerns and can liaise with staff on your behalf if you are unable to do so. If your concern is of a serious nature and requires a formal investigation we will advise you how to make a formal complaint. We can also deal with enquiries, suggestions and compliments.
